Mira-Bhayandar is pressed between green it cannot build on. Sanjay Gandhi National Park rises behind Kashimira and the eastern wards. Mangroves line the creeks to the north and west, and the Uttan peninsula holds open hills, fishing villages and the sea. Salt pans take up much of the flat ground in between. The housing itself, rows of towers along Mira Road and in Bhayandar, has little green of its own. Green work here means making small spaces count and keeping the city's edges whole for the people who live beside them.
Green belts in Mira-Bhayandar are asked of hotels, hospitals and small industrial plots at Kashimira and in Bhayandar East, and of larger projects whose clearances set green cover. There is rarely room for depth, so the belt works as a dense screen along the boundary that faces the highway or the neighbours. Close to the park, its species follow the park's forest. We plant, count and maintain the belt, and keep the records the consent or clearance asks for. The work is carried from our base in the region by named people, start to finish, not passed down a chain.

The clearance asks for a third of the plot in green. We make that third actually work.
Local demand
What drives green belt development for industries in Mira-Bhayandar.
Redevelopment is the first driver. When an old Bhayandar or Mira Road building gives way to a tower, the trees in its compound, often planted by the first residents, come before the MBMC Tree Authority under the Maharashtra (Urban Areas) Protection and Preservation of Trees Act, 1975. Enumeration, transplant assessment and compensatory planting follow. With the new building filling most of the plot, compensatory planting is hard to place on site, and developers need land and species that will actually survive. Green-cover conditions in the tower's clearance add to the same task.
Kashimira sits where the Western Express Highway meets Ghodbunder Road, and heavy traffic, hotels and commercial buildings press against the edge of the national park. Dust and noise from the road reach both people and forest. A green belt on those plots screens buildings from the road and gives a softer edge toward the park. In Bhayandar East, the same belt faces the housing that now surrounds most galas, where it is the only visible buffer between work and home.
How it works
Green Belt Development for Industries, from survey to survival.
- 01/04
Condition & buffer planning
The EC and consent green-cover conditions read, and a buffer plan sized and structured to meet them on the available plot.
- 02/04
Species selection
Pollution- and dust-tolerant native species chosen for attenuation, screening and survival at an industrial boundary.
- 03/04
Planting & establishment
Multi-row planting and the establishment care a buffer needs to close its canopy.
- 04/04
Compliance records
Documentation of the green cover developed and maintained, for the post-EC compliance file.

The work, project by project.
Mandate, method and measured outcome, written end to end for every project on this list.
Green zone development and maintenance across multiple client sites at Jamnagar, covering 120 acres. The wider Jamnagar portfolio also included Miyawaki plantation and maintenance of approximately 80,000 plants across 24,000 sq m.

Straight answers
Green Belt Development for Industries in Mira-Bhayandar: common questions.
01Our Kashimira plot faces the highway on one side and the park on the other. Should the belt be the same on both?
No. The highway side needs dense, dust-catching rows: rough, broad leaves and layered height. The park side should follow the forest itself, with native species that blend into it and nothing invasive that could escape into the park. We design the two edges separately and keep one record of every tree.
02Our society is beside the national park at Kashimira. What should we plant?
Species from the park's own forest, trees and shrubs that already grow on its slopes: and nothing that spreads easily into it, such as lantana or other invasive ornamentals. Native planting draws birds and butterflies and needs less water. Keep food waste and compost enclosed, because they draw animals from the forest edge. We prepare a planting list for the site.
03How long does green belt development for industries take in Mira-Bhayandar, and who is involved?
MBMC Tree Authority · MBMC Garden Department · Mangrove Cell · Maharashtra Forest Department · MCZMA are the bodies a Mira-Bhayandar project works with. On timing: planting seasonal; establishment 2–3 years. KIPL sets out a realistic Mira-Bhayandar schedule once the site and the scope have been read, and carries the work through to the outcome, with comparable work on the record such as Miyawaki Plantations at Jamnagar and Junagadh.
