Environmental Clearance, Simplified.

Environmental Clearance (EC) is the statutory approval granted by the Central or State Government under the provisions of the EIA Notification, 2006, for projects exceeding the prescribed threshold limits. It is not merely a formality or an application form. It is a comprehensive regulatory process built upon scientific baseline environmental studies, impact assessment, and mitigation planning.

Each proposal is critically evaluated and presented before an Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC/SEAC), whose recommendations form the basis for the final decision. As one of the most critical statutory approvals in the project lifecycle, the EC often determines the overall project schedule, feasibility, and commencement timeline.

As a QCI–NABET Accredited Environmental Consultancy Organization (ECO), Kesari Infrabuild Pvt. Ltd. (KIPL) provides end-to-end EC services, including project screening, statutory documentation, EIA/EMP studies, regulatory approvals through the PARIVESH portal, and post-EC compliance support.

From project planning to final approval and compliance, we manage the entire Environmental Clearance process.

Straight answers

The questions clients ask first.

01How long does an Environment Clearance take in India?
For most Category B2 projects, two to four months from application. Category B1 projects run four to six months from Terms of Reference to grant. Category A projects, and any project needing a public hearing, can run ten to twelve months. The public-hearing and appraisal stages are the usual bottlenecks.
02What is the difference between Category A and Category B projects?
Category A projects are appraised centrally by the MoEF&CC's Expert Appraisal Committee; Category B projects are appraised by the State (SEIAA/SEAC). The category is set by the EIA Notification 2006 schedule and the project's scale and location. We screen your project against it before anything is filed.
03Do I need an EIA study, or just Form-1?
It depends on category. B2 projects are exempt from EIA and appraised on Form-1 and a limited study; B1 and A projects need a full EIA with baseline data and public consultation.
04Can KIPL take over a stalled EC application?
Yes. Whether your proposal is pending due to technical queries, appraisal observations, changes in project details, or procedural delays, our team provides the technical and regulatory support required to revive any stalled project and facilitate its progress.

Bring us the project, and we will tell you what it needs.

A screening against the EIA Notification 2006 schedule costs you one conversation and settles the category, the study and the timeline.
