Disclaimer

Environmental regulation is specific to each project and changes often. This page sets out what the information on our website is: and what it is not.

01General information, not advice

The content of this website (including service descriptions, regulatory explanations, thresholds, timelines, city and state pages, answers to common questions and insights) is general information. It is not legal, regulatory, technical or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice on your particular project.

Whether a clearance, consent or permission applies, and what it requires, depends on the project's specific facts. Please do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of this website without taking advice on your circumstances.

02Regulation changes

Environmental law in India is amended frequently: the EIA Notification, 2006, coastal regulation, pollution control categories, extended producer responsibility rules and state-level requirements all change, sometimes with immediate effect. Information on this website reflects our understanding when it was written and may not reflect later amendments, notifications, circulars or court orders. Always confirm the current position with the competent authority or with us before relying on it.

03No guarantee of approvals or outcomes

Environment clearances, consents, no-objection certificates and similar permissions are granted by statutory authorities in the exercise of their own judgement. No consultant can guarantee that an application will succeed, or that it will be decided within a particular time. Any timelines on this website are indicative.

04Projects, figures and case studies

Case studies, project figures and outcomes are drawn from KIPL's project records and describe particular engagements, with their own facts, sites and regulatory contexts. They illustrate our experience; they are not a promise of similar results on any other project. Company-wide figures are stated as at the date of publication.

05Images and renderings

Some images on this website are photographs of our work. Others are illustrative renderings, including computer-generated and artist's impressions: used to convey a practice, sector or idea, and are not photographs of a specific site or project. Where an image is presented as a record of a particular site, it is captioned as such.

06Client and third-party names

Names and logos of clients, partners and publications identify organisations we have worked with or that have written about us. Their appearance does not imply that they endorse KIPL or any statement on this website, and they remain the property of their owners.

07Accreditation

KIPL is accredited by the Quality Council of India's National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (QCI-NABET) as an EIA consultant organisation, certificate NABET/EIA/25-28/RA 0465, valid to 13 October 2028. Accreditation covers specified sectors and categories only; the current scope is set out in the certificate and on the QCI-NABET register, which is the authoritative source.

Where this website describes work in a sector outside KIPL's organisational accreditation, that work was led by individually approved experts and is described as such.

08Locations

Pages describing cities, states and areas explain the regulatory and environmental context there and the services we provide. They do not mean that KIPL has an office in each place. Our offices are in Navi Mumbai (corporate), Pune and Nagpur.

09Press, recognition and linked content

Articles, interviews, awards and videos by third parties are referenced or linked as published. The views in them are those of their authors and publishers. We are not responsible for the content of external websites, which may change after we link to them.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KIPL accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on the information on this website. Our full terms, including the limitation of liability, are set out in the Terms of Use.
