Extended Producer Responsibility consultants in Taloja.
Extended Producer Responsibility in Taloja, on the ground where the work actually is, the Taloja MIDC chemical and pharmaceutical estate, its common effluent plant and the housing nodes that now surround it, carried by one accredited team, from the first baseline to the signed-off report.
Why Taloja
The local ground extended producer responsibility sits on.

Taloja is an industrial estate that people now live beside. The MIDC area holds chemical, pharmaceutical, food and engineering units, many running reactors, solvents and boilers under consents renewed for decades. Their effluent goes to a common treatment plant, and their hazardous waste to the common disposal facility nearby. Across the road, CIDCO's housing in Taloja Phase I and II and the villages of Pendhar and Navade have filled with families. Compliance here is read by two audiences: the regulator, and the neighbours who notice the smell first.
EPR in Taloja is mostly about industrial packaging. Chemical and pharmaceutical units ship product in HDPE drums, woven bags, liners and carboys, and those can bring a plastic packaging obligation. Units that import solvents or raw materials in plastic packaging may carry an importer's obligation for it as well. Batteries in forklifts and UPS systems, and electronics in control rooms, raise questions of their own. We map what each unit puts on the market, register where the rules apply, and file the return against real certificates. The work is carried from our base in the region by named people, start to finish, not passed down a chain.

If your product becomes waste, the law now follows it there. EPR is where you account for that.
Local demand
What drives extended producer responsibility in Taloja.
The second driver is the customer. Many Taloja units make active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and specialty chemicals for buyers in regulated markets, and those buyers audit their suppliers on environment, health and safety as well as quality. Listed Indian customers reporting under SEBI's BRSR ask for energy, water, waste and emissions data. EPR adds a third strand: drums, bags and liners that carry product to customers can bring a CPCB registration and an annual return. Each request lands on the same small EHS team.
The plastic packaging rules separate rigid packaging, flexible packaging and multilayered packaging, and each carries its own targets. Under the 2022 EPR guidelines, rigid plastic packaging also carries targets for reuse and for recycled content. That matters in Taloja, where HDPE drums and carboys are part of daily trade. Customers now ask their chemical suppliers for EPR registration details before they place orders. A unit that has never thought of itself as a packaging producer can find its drums at the centre of an audit.

Straight answers
Extended Producer Responsibility in Taloja: common questions.
01We take back our drums from customers and refill them. Does that reduce our EPR obligation?
Reuse counts under the plastic packaging rules, but only if it is recorded. Drums returned and refilled can support your reuse targets for rigid packaging, provided each cycle is documented. Drums that leave the loop need recycling certificates to cover them. We set up a simple drum register and match it to the annual return.
02Residents in Taloja Phase II have complained about odour. Could it lead to action against our unit?
It can lead to an inspection, and an inspection reads the whole record. MPCB may sample your stacks and effluent and check your solvent handling. Odour complaints in Taloja rarely name one unit, so evidence that your emissions are controlled matters. We check likely sources on site (vents, scrubbers, storage and effluent pits) and help you answer in writing.
03How long does extended producer responsibility take in Taloja, and who is involved?
MPCB Raigad (Taloja) · MIDC Taloja · SEIAA Maharashtra · CPCB (EPR) · SEBI (BRSR) are the bodies a Taloja project works with. On timing: registration weeks; returns annual. KIPL sets out a realistic Taloja schedule once the site and the scope have been read, and carries the work through to the outcome, with comparable work on the record such as EIA for Synthetic Organic Chemical Industry.
