Extended Producer Responsibility consultants in New Delhi.
Extended Producer Responsibility in New Delhi, on the ground where the work actually is, the ministries, head offices and institutional campuses of the capital, and the small industrial estates at Okhla, Wazirpur and Bawana, carried by one accredited team, from the first baseline to the signed-off report.
Why New Delhi
The local ground extended producer responsibility sits on.
- Decided with
- DPCC · CAQM (GRAP) · SEIAA Delhi · NDMC, MCD and DDA · SEBI (BRSR) · CPCB (EPR)
- Local ground
- The Connaught Place, Nehru Place, Jasola and Aerocity office districts, the NDMC institutional core and the Okhla, Wazirpur, Naraina and Bawana industrial areas
- Typically for
- Producers, importers, brand owners & recyclers
Delhi's advisory work is set by the capital's particular mix. Most of its floor space is offices, hospitals, universities and government buildings: head offices along Barakhamba Road and around Connaught Place, the district centres at Nehru Place, Saket and Jasola, the hotels of Aerocity, and the institutional campuses of the NDMC area and beyond. Manufacturing is smaller and older, packed into estates at Okhla, Wazirpur, Naraina, Bawana and Narela. And the air bears on every one of them: each building and each unit here answers to DPCC and, each winter, to the CAQM's graded restrictions.
Delhi's EPR load sits with brands and traders more than with factories. The city is a national wholesale hub (electronics around Nehru Place and Lajpat Rai Market, consumer goods through Sadar Bazar) and plenty of the importers and brand owners registered here sell nationwide without a factory in the city. Each answers on CPCB's portals for the packaging, electronics or batteries it sells. Much of the city's own e-waste has long been dismantled informally, in places such as Seelampur, which is why a recycler's certificate here deserves a second look. The team travels from its base in Navi Mumbai and stays named on the work, start to finish, not passed down a chain.

If your product becomes waste, the law now follows it there. EPR is where you account for that.
Local demand
What drives extended producer responsibility in New Delhi.
The winter air drives more of Delhi's compliance calendar than any single rule. When the Air Quality Index climbs, the Commission for Air Quality Management invokes the stages of the Graded Response Action Plan, and each stage brings its own restrictions: on construction and demolition, on diesel generators, on certain vehicles and on industries not running on approved fuels. A hospital extension, an office retrofit or a small plant in Okhla can find its work halted for weeks. Owners who keep dust controls, fuel records and DPCC consents in order are the ones who can show, quickly, which rules they meet.
Registration in Delhi is often triggered from outside. A marketplace asks a seller for its EPR number; a customs broker flags an import consignment; a buyer abroad asks where the packaging ends up. Many of the capital's producers are traders and importers rather than manufacturers, and some learn only then that the law counts them as producers. The E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 and the rules for plastic packaging and batteries each run their own CPCB portal, with targets that rise from one year to the next.

Straight answers
Extended Producer Responsibility in New Delhi: common questions.
01Our Delhi company imports electronics and sells them through marketplaces. Is EPR registration ours to do?
Very likely, yes. The E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 count an importer bringing electrical and electronic goods into India for sale as a producer, and the packaging around those goods may add a plastic obligation. Registration is done online with CPCB; targets are met through certificates from registered recyclers. We map your product list rule by rule before anything is filed.
02Our unit is in Okhla Industrial Area. What does DPCC expect of it each year?
Consent to operate under the Air and Water Acts, kept current and renewed ahead of expiry; authorisation for the hazardous waste its process creates; and the annual returns that go with both. Units must burn only fuels on Delhi's approved list and keep treatment and air-control equipment running. We hold these on one calendar and check that the conditions in the consent still match how the unit runs today.
03How long does extended producer responsibility take in New Delhi, and who is involved?
DPCC · CAQM (GRAP) · SEIAA Delhi · NDMC, MCD and DDA · SEBI (BRSR) · CPCB (EPR) are the bodies a New Delhi project works with. On timing: registration weeks; returns annual. KIPL sets out a realistic New Delhi schedule once the site and the scope have been read, and carries the work through to the outcome, with comparable work on the record such as EIA for Synthetic Organic Chemical Industry.
