Extended Producer Responsibility consultants in Gujarat.

Extended Producer Responsibility in Gujarat, on the ground where the work actually is, the chemical estates of the Golden Corridor, Saurashtra's engineering towns and the port-led industry of Kutch, carried by one accredited team, from the first baseline to the signed-off report.

Why Gujarat

The local ground extended producer responsibility sits on.

Decided with
GPCB (Gandhinagar head office and regional offices) · GIDC · SEIAA Gujarat · Gujarat Maritime Board · SEBI (BRSR) · CPCB (EPR)
Local ground
The chemical estates of Vapi, Ankleshwar, Jhagadia and Dahej, the refining and engineering estates of central Gujarat, Saurashtra's foundry and ceramic towns, and the port-industrial coast of Kutch

Producers, importers, brand owners & recyclers

Advisory work in Gujarat ranges over belts that barely resemble one another. In the south, the Golden Corridor climbs the highway north from Sarigam and Vapi past Ankleshwar, Jhagadia and Dahej, where makers of dyes, pesticides, intermediates and drugs stand fence to fence. The centre carries refining and engineering; Saurashtra carries foundries, ceramics, brass and the refinery town of Jamnagar; Kutch has become a coast of ports, power plants and new renewable parks. Over all of them sits one board (GPCB, headquartered in Gandhinagar) and scores of listed groups whose reporting reaches back into every belt.

EPR in Gujarat begins upstream. Much of the country's polymer is made in the refinery and cracker complexes of Jamnagar, Hazira and Dahej, and the state's converters, drug fillers and food brands turn it into packs with a name printed on them. Solar module makers around Mundra, Surat and the corridor are covered by the e-waste rules' provisions for photovoltaic panels, which ask producers to register and plan for panels at end of life. Tyre, battery and electronics makers add separate regimes. When one group owns plants in different belts, the duty follows the product, not the plant. The work is carried from our base in the region by named people, start to finish, not passed down a chain.

If your product becomes waste, the law now follows it there. EPR is where you account for that.

Local demand

What drives extended producer responsibility in Gujarat.

Reporting pressure spreads from the other direction. Many of India's large listed groups in refining, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, ports and power run their plants in Gujarat, and their BRSR disclosures reach down to hundreds of suppliers in Saurashtra and along the corridor. Exporters of castings, ceramics and chemicals meet carbon and chemical questions from European buyers. And the state's long-running third-party audit scheme means a polluting unit here is used to being examined: though rarely yet in the form a lender or a customer expects.

Gujarat's EPR demand grows with its manufacturing mix. Converters and packaging makers on the corridor supply brands across India, and a contract filler can hold obligations it has never registered. Solar module and battery projects add a newer layer, and tyre and electronics makers carry their own targets. Importers landing goods at Mundra, Kandla and Pipavav owe duties too, factory or not. Many firms first hear of all this from a customer's onboarding form.

Straight answers

Extended Producer Responsibility in Gujarat: common questions.

01We make solar modules in Gujarat. What does EPR ask of us?

Since 2022, the e-waste rules have brought makers of solar photovoltaic modules, panels and cells under provisions of their own: registration on CPCB's portal, periodic returns, and responsibility for how waste panels are stored and later sent for recycling. The exact duties depend on your role: manufacturer, producer or importer. Your product flows are read against each provision first, and registration follows.

02Does a unit in a Kutch port town face different rules from one on the corridor?

The statutes are the same, but the ground shifts the emphasis. Near the Gulf of Kutch, coastal-zone terms, mangroves and the protected marine park enter the file; around Mundra and Kandla, the scale of neighbouring industry makes air and water baselines a shared matter. Groundwater there is frequently saline, which puts water sourcing under close reading. We interpret each condition against the coast it sits on.

03How long does extended producer responsibility take in Gujarat, and who is involved?

GPCB (Gandhinagar head office and regional offices) · GIDC · SEIAA Gujarat · Gujarat Maritime Board · SEBI (BRSR) · CPCB (EPR) are the bodies a Gujarat project works with. On timing: registration weeks; returns annual. KIPL sets out a realistic Gujarat schedule once the site and the scope have been read, and carries the work through to the outcome, with comparable work on the record such as EIA for Synthetic Organic Chemical Industry.
