Why Kharghar
The local ground environment management & mitigation plan sits on.

- MPCB · SEIAA Maharashtra · CPCB (EPR) · Panvel Municipal Corporation · CIDCO

- The residential sectors from the Sion–Panvel highway to the hill foot, the hospital and college campuses spread through the node, and the Taloja industrial edge
- Typically for
- Any project with EC or consent EMP conditions
Kharghar was planned by CIDCO and now falls within the Panvel Municipal Corporation, formed in 2016, which has taken over civic services from CIDCO in stages. Its compliance work follows its buildings. Dense housing sectors run from the Sion–Panvel highway up towards the hills, with hospitals and campuses such as ACTREC and NIFT among them. To the east lies the Taloja industrial area. A society running its own sewage plant, a hospital handling biomedical waste and a college preparing for accreditation each hold duties that outlast the building's approvals.
An environment management plan in Kharghar often starts at the hill. Plots in the upper sectors are cut into rock, and excavation brings breaking noise, dust and loose material that the monsoon carries into the sector drains. Lower plots sit nearer the creek edge and its wetlands, where silt and debris do lasting harm. Neighbouring towers are usually occupied. We write the plan around each of these (working hours, slope and drain protection, a clear line away from the wetland) and monitor it through the months that test it. The work is carried from our base in the region by named people, start to finish, not passed down a chain.

Local demand
What drives environment management & mitigation plan in Kharghar.
The second driver is the institutions and their neighbour. Kharghar holds engineering, management, design and medical campuses, and NAAC's accreditation framework asks colleges to show green, energy and environment audits, so audit work arrives on an academic calendar. Hospitals and research centres face similar questions from boards and funders. The Taloja industrial area shapes the rest. Its chemical and pharmaceutical units carry consents, hazardous-waste returns and EPR obligations, and residents of the eastern sectors have long complained about the air that drifts across. Both sides of that boundary now want evidence rather than assurances.
Kharghar's remaining open plots are the harder ones: higher up the slope, closer to the creek edge, or beside sectors that have been lived in for decades. Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 now runs through the node, and work around its stations and approaches continues. Residents' groups here have campaigned for years to protect the node's wetlands and hills, and a site that sends muddy water into a nala or tips debris at the hill foot is quickly photographed. A plan that works on the ground keeps a project out of that argument.

The record
The work, project by project.
Mandate, method and measured outcome, written end to end for every project on this list.
Green zone development and maintenance across multiple client sites at Jamnagar, covering 120 acres. The wider Jamnagar portfolio also included Miyawaki plantation and maintenance of approximately 80,000 plants across 24,000 sq m.

Straight answers
Environment Management & Mitigation Plan in Kharghar: common questions.
01Our Kharghar plot is partly rock. What should the EMP say about breaking it?
How, when and with what safeguards. Rock breaking, and any controlled blasting, needs permissions, fixed working hours and noise and vibration limits near occupied buildings. Dust is kept down with water and covered stockpiles, and fragments are kept off neighbouring roads. We add vibration monitoring at the nearest structures, so a complaint can be answered with a reading.
02Residents in our sector notice odour from the Taloja side at night. What can a society usefully do?
Record it properly. A complaint to MPCB carries more weight with dates, times, wind direction and, where possible, measured readings. A short ambient air monitoring exercise at the society gives the committee figures it can put before the board. We set up the monitoring, read the results against the national ambient air quality standards, and help draft the letter.
03How long does environment management & mitigation plan take in Kharghar, and who is involved?
MPCB · SEIAA Maharashtra · CPCB (EPR) · Panvel Municipal Corporation · CIDCO are the bodies a Kharghar project works with. On timing: prepared at EIA; implemented for project life. KIPL sets out a realistic Kharghar schedule once the site and the scope have been read, and carries the work through to the outcome, with comparable work on the record such as EIA for Synthetic Organic Chemical Industry.
