Building on the Central Park belt's slopes means excavation into rock and weathered soil just below Kharghar's hills. During the rains, hill water runs across the site, and loose soil is carried onto roads and down the storm drains towards the park. The plan has to divert hill water around the excavation, stabilise and drain cut faces before June, store topsoil for reuse and trap silt at every outlet. Where rock is broken near occupied towers, vibration and noise limits are agreed beforehand.
The Central Park belt is the stretch of Kharghar around the large park CIDCO planned at the node's centre, with the golf course beside it and the Kharghar hills rising behind. The park holds lawns, walking tracks, water features and play areas, and on weekends it draws families from all over Navi Mumbai. Residential towers on the surrounding sectors are sold on their view of it. Up the slope, the hills open into grassland dotted with trees, and the Pandavkada falls run down in the monsoon. This is Kharghar's greenest ground, and new buildings here are turned to face it.

Environment Management & Mitigation Plan in Central Park belt: common questions.
01Hill water floods our excavation in Kharghar every monsoon. What should the site do?
Intercept it above the site. A catch drain along the upper boundary, sized for heavy rain and led safely to the storm drain, keeps most hill water out of the excavation. Whatever still enters goes through a settling pit before pumping out. We design the drain and settling arrangement with the site team.
02How long does environment management & mitigation plan take in Central Park belt?
On timing: prepared at EIA; implemented for project life. A realistic Central Park belt schedule is set once the site and the scope have been read, and the work is carried through to the outcome by the same named people.
