Residential towers overlooking the park and golf links are among the largest in the node, and most need clearance on built-up area alone. Plots on the lower slopes add questions the committee will ask about: slope stability, soil loss in the monsoon, trees on the plot and how close the hills' green cover comes. We gather the site's levels, tree survey and drainage plan early and present them in the application, so these questions are answered before they are raised.
The Central Park belt is the stretch of Kharghar around the large park CIDCO planned at the node's centre, with the golf course beside it and the Kharghar hills rising behind. The park holds lawns, walking tracks, water features and play areas, and on weekends it draws families from all over Navi Mumbai. Residential towers on the surrounding sectors are sold on their view of it. Up the slope, the hills open into grassland dotted with trees, and the Pandavkada falls run down in the monsoon. This is Kharghar's greenest ground, and new buildings here are turned to face it.

Environment Clearance in Central Park belt: common questions.
01Our plot near Central Park is on a slope. Is the slope going to matter for clearance?
Very likely. Committees look at how a slope will be cut, retained and drained, and how soil will be kept from washing off during construction. A geotechnical report, a drainage plan and a tree survey help. We prepare them with the application, so the file already carries the answers.
02How long does environment clearance take in Central Park belt?
On timing: typically 4–8 months. A realistic Central Park belt schedule is set once the site and the scope have been read, and the work is carried through to the outcome by the same named people.
