Effluent Treatment Plants in Taloja MIDC, Taloja.
Effluent Treatment Plants for Taloja MIDC: read against this area's own ground, not the city's average.
Why Taloja MIDC
The ground this work sits on here.
- Area
- Taloja MIDC, Taloja
- Practice
- Sustainable Infrastructure Services
- Typically for
- Chemical, pharma, textile, food, distillery and engineering units
A Taloja unit's ETP is judged at the CETP's inlet, where its effluent meets everyone else's. Solvent-rich streams, high-COD mother liquors and salty washings are the usual problems, and the CETP's limits exist to keep them out. We separate high-strength streams at source, recover solvents where the chemistry allows, pre-treat what remains to the inlet standard, and log flows and quality, giving the unit a day-by-day record of what it discharged.
Taloja MIDC is the industrial estate itself: a large grid of plots laid out by MIDC below the hills east of Kharghar, holding chemical, pharmaceutical, food, plastics, steel and engineering units. Some are large continuous-process plants; many are mid-sized batch units running reactors, dryers and boilers. The estate's effluent flows by pipe to one collective treatment works, and its hazardous waste is trucked to a shared disposal site close by. The Kasadi river flows through and alongside it. Housing nodes and villages have grown up on its edges, so a unit that once had fields beyond its wall may now face apartment windows.
How it works
Effluent Treatment Plants, the route to grant.
- 01/05
Effluent characterisation
The real waste stream sampled and analysed (flow, pH, COD / BOD, TDS, colour and specific contaminants) before a single unit is sized.
- 02/05
Process design
Primary (equalisation, neutralisation), secondary (biological) and tertiary (filtration, RO) stages engineered to the consent outlet quality.
- 03/05
ZLD engineering (where required)
RO and multiple-effect evaporator / ATFD trains to recover water and reach zero discharge for the specified categories.
- 04/05
Build & commissioning (EPC)
Turnkey construction, dosing and control systems, then stabilisation and performance testing.
- 05/05
Monitoring & compliance
Effluent-quality monitoring and the records that keep the CTO and any online-monitoring obligation in good standing.

Effluent Treatment Plants in Taloja MIDC: common questions.
01The CETP says our effluent exceeds its inlet limits. Where do we start?
By finding which stream is responsible. Sample each process stream separately: mother liquor, washings, scrubber bleed, utilities blowdown. One high-strength stream often causes most of the problem, and handling it separately fixes the rest. We carry out the stream-by-stream survey and design the fix.
02How long does effluent treatment plants take in Taloja MIDC?
On timing: design to commissioning by project schedule. A realistic Taloja MIDC schedule is set once the site and the scope have been read, and the work is carried through to the outcome by the same named people.
