Effluent Treatment Plants in Dombivli MIDC Phase I, Kalyan-Dombivli.
Effluent Treatment Plants for Dombivli MIDC Phase I: read against this area's own ground, not the city's average.
Why Dombivli MIDC Phase I
The ground this work sits on here.
- Area
- Dombivli MIDC Phase I, Kalyan-Dombivli
- Practice
- Sustainable Infrastructure Services
- Typically for
- Chemical, pharma, textile, food, distillery and engineering units
A Phase I unit's own treatment plant has one job above all: to send the common plant water it can handle. Dye and intermediate effluent is coloured, salty and high in COD, and it arrives in batches that swing from day to day. We characterise each stream, separate the strong ones for dedicated treatment, and size primary treatment to meet the common plant's inlet norms with some margin. Flow meters and a simple daily log give the unit evidence when inlet results are questioned.
Phase I is the older half of the MIDC estate in Dombivli East, laid out when paddy fields and open ground still surrounded it. Its plots hold chemical, dye, textile processing and engineering units, most of them owner-run, with reactor sheds, drum yards and boiler chimneys set close together. The estate was planned with its own residential zone, and that housing has since filled in and grown upward, so apartment blocks now overlook working plants across a single road. Its units send their wastewater on to a shared plant for final treatment. Several older units have shut or changed hands, and their sheds have found new occupiers.
How it works
Effluent Treatment Plants, the route to grant.
- 01/05
Effluent characterisation
The real waste stream sampled and analysed (flow, pH, COD / BOD, TDS, colour and specific contaminants) before a single unit is sized.
- 02/05
Process design
Primary (equalisation, neutralisation), secondary (biological) and tertiary (filtration, RO) stages engineered to the consent outlet quality.
- 03/05
ZLD engineering (where required)
RO and multiple-effect evaporator / ATFD trains to recover water and reach zero discharge for the specified categories.
- 04/05
Build & commissioning (EPC)
Turnkey construction, dosing and control systems, then stabilisation and performance testing.
- 05/05
Monitoring & compliance
Effluent-quality monitoring and the records that keep the CTO and any online-monitoring obligation in good standing.

Effluent Treatment Plants in Dombivli MIDC Phase I: common questions.
01The common plant has flagged our effluent as over its inlet limit. Where do we start?
With the streams, not the plant. Most exceedances trace back to one or two batch operations (a mother-liquor discharge, a reactor wash) that overwhelm primary treatment on certain days. We sample by stream and by batch, find the ones that carry the load, and deal with them at source through segregation, recovery or separate treatment.
02How long does effluent treatment plants take in Dombivli MIDC Phase I?
On timing: design to commissioning by project schedule. A realistic Dombivli MIDC Phase I schedule is set once the site and the scope have been read, and the work is carried through to the outcome by the same named people.
