The old village lanes of Kulgaon hold most of the neighbourhood's mature trees: banyans, peepals and mangoes that shade the street. When plots around them are redeveloped, each tree goes before KBMC's Tree Authority. We survey, assess and map the trees, show where a design can keep the valuable ones, and handle the permission, transplanting and replacement planting for trees that cannot stay, with watering and care arranged for the new trees.
Kulgaon is the old village that gave the Kulgaon-Badlapur Municipal Council half of its name, and its core of houses, temples and narrow lanes survives. The town has since grown quickly around it, with mid-rise housing, markets and schools filling what were fields not long ago. Many families here left Mumbai and Thane in search of a bigger flat they could afford, and they commute along the central railway every day. Municipal services have struggled to keep pace, so parks, sewers and waste processing lag behind the building that surrounds them.

Tree Management in Kulgaon: common questions.
01A tree near our building looks unsafe. Can we remove it?
You still need permission, though genuinely dangerous trees can be dealt with quickly. An assessment often shows that pruning, cabling or clearing the base is enough and the tree can stay. We inspect it, note its condition and apply for the action it actually needs.
02How long does tree management take in Kulgaon?
On timing: census in weeks; NOC by Tree Authority calendar. A realistic Kulgaon schedule is set once the site and the scope have been read, and the work is carried through to the outcome by the same named people.
