Along it lies MIDC's TTC industrial area, stretching back towards the Parsik hills, and IT parks and data centres now occupy many former industrial plots. Between the road and the creek are CIDCO's housing nodes and the mangrove edge of the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary. It is one road serving two cities.
