What it is
Wildlife Clearance, without the guesswork.
A project inside an eco-sensitive zone, or within 10 km of a national park or wildlife sanctuary, needs clearance from the wildlife boards before it can proceed: the State Board for Wildlife and, for many cases, the Standing Committee of the National Board for Wildlife.
KIPL handles the eco-sensitive zone assessment that establishes whether wildlife clearance is triggered, the SBWL and NBWL submissions, and the wildlife conservation plan that accompanies them: the same work behind our data-centre clearance beside the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary.

Straight answers
Wildlife Clearance: the questions clients ask first.
01When is wildlife clearance required?
When a project falls inside a notified eco-sensitive zone, or within the default 10 km radius of a national park or wildlife sanctuary where no ESZ has been notified. The eco-sensitive zone assessment establishes whether the trigger applies.
02What is the difference between SBWL and NBWL?
The State Board for Wildlife (SBWL) considers proposals first and forwards a recommendation; the Standing Committee of the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) grants the higher-level clearance for many categories. Both stages are typically needed for projects near protected areas.
03Can you get wildlife clearance near a flamingo sanctuary?
Yes. KIPL secured clearance for a data centre adjoining the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary, including the eco-sensitive zone case and CER management. The work is exacting, but it is deliverable with the right conservation plan.
04Does wildlife clearance replace Environment Clearance?
No. It is an additional approval. A project near a protected area may need wildlife clearance and Environment Clearance (and sometimes CRZ or forest clearance), each under its own regime and often assessed in parallel.

Who we do this for
The same filing reads differently by industry.
What wildlife clearance demands of a data centre is not what it demands of a distillery. These set out the item code, the conditions that bite and the evidence each sector is asked for.
