Seven kilometres of water supply infrastructure for TATA Chemicals in Gujarat: intake well, pipeline and pumping works supporting the project's requirement.
The brief
Water supply is a chain, and it is only as good as its weakest link: an intake that silts, a main that leaks, or a pump sized for a head it does not actually face will each defeat the rest of the system.
On a chemical works the supply is a process input before it is an amenity, which puts the emphasis on continuity: the intake and the pumping are the elements whose failure stops production rather than merely inconveniencing it.
