Twenty kilometres of water supply works for the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran at Palghar: transmission pipeline and pumping infrastructure, with two elevated service reservoirs of 1 lakh and 3 lakh litres.
The brief
Water supply is a chain, and it is only as good as its weakest link: an intake that silts, a main that leaks, or a pump sized for a head it does not actually face will each defeat the rest of the system.
At Palghar the scheme is transmission and storage: twenty kilometres of main and the pumping to drive it, feeding two elevated reservoirs sized differently because they serve different demand at different heads.
What KIPL executed

- 20 km of water supply main.
- Pumping infrastructure
- The pumping installations serving the main.
