Twelve kilometres of water supply infrastructure for Adlabs Imagica at Khopoli: intake well, transmission pipeline and pumping works bringing water to a destination park whose demand is concentrated and highly seasonal.
The brief
Water supply is a chain, and it is only as good as its weakest link: an intake that silts, a main that leaks, or a pump sized for a head it does not actually face will each defeat the rest of the system.
A theme park's water demand is unlike a town's: it peaks hard on weekends and holidays and falls away between them, so the supply has to be sized for the peak while the intake and pumping remain workable at everything below it.
