Consultancy for Miyawaki plantation works associated with the MMRCL project: planning for 12,000 plants, delivered in coordination with the Forest Department.
The brief
A metro project generates compensatory planting obligations, and those obligations are discharged against a plan the Forest Department has to accept. The question is not only what to plant but where, in what mix, and to what density.
KIPL's role here was consultancy rather than execution: planning the Miyawaki works for 12,000 plants and coordinating with the Forest Department, so that the scheme that went in was one the department had already agreed.
What KIPL executed
- Plantation planning
- Miyawaki plantation planning for 12,000 plants.
- Forest Department coordination
- Coordination with the department through the approval of the scheme.
