Green-zone and tree management for the Amazon – Devi Constructions project at Thane: Miyawaki plantation and maintenance of roughly 3,000 plants, 72 trees transplanted and 240 removed under permission.
The brief
A development on a treed site has three separate obligations, and they are usually confused with each other: what must be kept, what may be moved, and what may be removed: each under permission, each with its own record.
Here that came to 72 trees transplanted rather than felled, 240 removed under permission, and roughly 3,000 plants established as Miyawaki plantation with maintenance to follow. Transplantation is the part that decides whether a mature tree survives a development, and it is the part most often skipped.
