New housing complexes in Kalher can reach more than 20,000 sq m once every tower is counted, and some warehouse parks here do as well. Because homes and godowns are so close, the appraisal committee is likely to ask about noise, traffic, air quality and how residents are separated from truck movements. We measure the baseline on site, prepare a layout that keeps living spaces away from the loading roads, and build the application around those same questions.
Kalher lies at the Thane end of Bhiwandi, beside Kasheli and not far from the creek crossing into Thane. It grew first as a godown village like its neighbours, but it is now also a housing area, as developers build residential complexes for people who work in Thane and Bhiwandi and want more space for their money. Warehouses, truck yards, new residential towers and older village houses stand side by side, and the roads carry goods traffic and commuters together. How the land drains is decided by low ground by the creek and by monsoon streams.

Environment Clearance in Kalher: common questions.
01Our residential project in Kalher is next to warehouses. Does that affect clearance?
It will be examined, particularly for noise, traffic and air quality. We carry out baseline monitoring at the site and propose measures such as planted buffers, separate access roads and the placement of towers, so the committee can see how residents will be protected from the operations next door.
02How long does environment clearance take in Kalher?
On timing: typically 4–8 months. A realistic Kalher schedule is set once the site and the scope have been read, and the work is carried through to the outcome by the same named people.
